| Jennifer Esposito Biography
Jennifer Esposito was born on April 11, 1973, in New York City. Her mother, Phyllis, is an interior decorator, and her father, Bob, is a former music producer who now works as a computer consultant on Wall Street. In 1995, Esposito landed her first role in The Sunshine Boys starring Woody Allen. She got her first big break that same year when she won the part of Connie Soleito on the ABC soap, The City. After a guest appearance on Law & Order in 1996, Esposito was cast in a regular role on the hit show Spin City starring Michael J. Fox. She appeared in a total of 13 episodes between 1997 and 1999. In the late 1990s Esposito had a number of bit parts in films including the sport drama He Got Game, and the teen horror flick I Still Know What You Did Last Summer starring Jennifer Love Hewitt. She continued the horror theme when she appeared in Summer of Sam in 1999, and took on a lighter role that same year in The Bachelor starring Chris O'Donnell. By 2000, Esposito was winning more significant roles including playing Solina in Dracula 2000, and Detective Sandra Cassidy in Don't Say a Word with Brittany Murphy and Michael Douglas. 2004 was Esposito's break out year, appearing in the Jimmy Fallon comedy Taxi and the Academy Award-winning Crash. At the end of that year she made her first appearance in a reoccurring role on the popular television series Judging Amy. In 2005, Esposito was cast in a leading role in the WB's new show Related. She played Ginnie Sorelli, one of four sisters on the show. The series was cancelled, however, after just one season. Esposito will next appear in the Tom Arnold comedy Parmigiano and star in the comedy Patience, Please. In October 2006, Esposito became engaged to actor Bradley Cooper. The couple wed in December 2006, but she filed for divorce just 4 months later. They were legally divorced in November 2007. |
